Crisis situations often stem from multiple unaddressed issues with a person’s ability to exist comfortably in their environment. Whether you are in crisis, approaching crisis, or supporting someone in crisis — slow down, take a moment to sense what is happening in your body, and remember that you do not need to navigate this alone.

Gender clinics are specialized healthcare centers that offer gender-affirming services to transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse individuals. These services include medical, psychological, and social support to assist clients in their gender affirmation journey. Clinics often provide care such as hormone therapy, mental health counseling, surgical consultations and referrals, voice therapy, and assistance with social or legal transition processes. The focus is on providing holistic and individualized care in a supportive, affirming environment.

Books
Unmasking Autism: Written by a Trans-Autistic social psychologist, this book provides a deep dive into high-masking Autism and the intersection of LGBTQIA+, race, and Autism. Great for Trans, gender-diverse, and female clients.
Divergent Minds: Great for women exploring neurodivergence.
Is This Autism? This book provides a detailed walkthrough of the diagnostic criteria, using insights from the experiences of Autistic girls but offering generalizations that apply to anyone. It's a great resource for those ready to dive deeper into understanding Autism.
Podcasts
Squarepeg Podcast: Story-driven and perfect for late-diagnosed women and non-binary individuals.
The Neurodivergent Woman Podcast: Hosted by two psychologists, this podcast covers neurodivergence in women and offers a deep dive into both Autism and ADHD. Perfect for clients looking for psychoeducation.
Thoughti Auti: A great podcast for Autistic men (interestingly, there are few Autistic men in the creator space).
Divergent Conversations: (series starts on episode 48 could be a good place for those exploring autism).
Online Resources/Website
Neurodivergent Insights: Sorry for the shameless plug, but I often hear from newly identified people that the free blog posts and articles are useful. This article on non-stereotypical autism has been referenced by several as the article that helped them start thinking about autism for themselves.
Reframing Autism: This website is packed with valuable information and resources on Autism.
Neuroqueer.com: This is the website of Nick Walker (one of the founders of the concept of neuroqueering). She has several great essays on neuroqueer theory and the neurodiversity paradigm. Her article on the intro to language is a great place to start. This website is wonderful for more philosophical-minded people who want a deep dive into the theory).
